She's on the move, People!

Just a quick update with pictures and *hopefully* a video to come...

Natalie is crawling!  Really getting around (and torturing poor Roscoe) and into everything!  Wow!  How did we get to this point so quickly?!

In other news I've fully subscribed to the 'bow in her hair' idea and today we rocked a black bow and our NC State shirt from Uncle Ryan.  According to Ms. Debbie when I dropped her off at baby school, Natalie was "really working it".

Yes, yes she was.

And then in the Summer of Great Adventures...

Earlier this week Jon had to head out for a meeting in Newport, RI for a week.  Jon not wanting to miss his sweet girl and Brittany not wanting to miss an opportunity to check out a SUPER CUTE coastal town we all packed up on Sunday and headed North.
The hotel we were in was VERY nice (Hotel Viking) and the weather was quite accommodating as well.  Natalie and I did a lot of walking around, sightseeing and shopping while Dad was busy at work. We enjoyed dinners together in the evenings and all in all had a wonderful time.

While shopping I purchased a little bow for Natalie's hair - just for fun - but then I realized that it might be one of the cutest things I've ever seen - and couldn't stop taking pictures of it...
Being the true soccer fan I am (and teaching Natalie the ins and outs) we spent some quality time in the hotel room yelling at the TV for the US v. Japan World Cup finals.  It didn't go our way but Natalie was happy (and adorable) just the same.

We walked down to the water one evening and snapped a couple shots - Oh to have a sail boat in the harbor...  The views were beautiful.
And anyone who knows me well knows I LOVE purple hydrageas.  This one was especially beautiful.

A rare photo of me - I'm probably the least photogenic person I know but this one of the two of us was made bearable but the adorable child I'm holding.  I hope you agree...
And one more of the bow because it was so cute!

Next in the Summer of Great Adventures...

When we returned from our trip to NC for the reunion we found Roscoe very contentedly cared for by Josh and Leslie who had been visiting while Garrett was in Annapolis for XC camp.  We did a TERRIBLE job of taking pictures while they were here but we all then (one way or another) made it down to Nashville, TN to see our friends Kate, Mandy and Owen.
Here are a few pictures of Owen and Natalie from their play date.  As you can see they were happy campers!

Natalie and I had quite the adventuresome trip back to BWI when our flight was cancelled, and car seat lost, but finally at around 12:30 AM the next day we made it safely home.  Natalie was an AMAZING traveler and didn't seem to mind the delays at all!

Seriously - we're doing this people!

Due to some SERIOUSLY cute pictures taken of my sweet Natalie recently I wanted to get this blog thing going.  I'll begin the LONG list of the places we've been recently with the trip to Edenton, NC for the 4th of July weekend.

We drove down to Edenton, NC for a family reunion with Nana and Pops and Ryan.  It was a blast seeing family and showing off our little girl.  Natalie has turned into QUITE the photogenic little girl.  Exhibit A:

However, one lesson learned on the trip is to be careful when leaving little angel with her father, Pops and Uncle Ryan.  Nana and I had to run out for a (Wendy's) frosty craving and when we returned the following pictures (and subsequent emotional damage) had already been done:
The big reunion was the next day and Nana didn't disappoint with an appropriate dress for the occasion.  Much was made about our very happy little girl and we enjoyed visiting with family - can't wait to see them again for Christmas!

Here we go!

Well Leslie was kind enough to set up (read: dummy-proof) this blog so I feel that I really should use it!

I love reading about family and friends and seeing pictures of what they've been up to. With Natalie growing up so fast; *she's 6 months old already!* I need to be sharing our adventures!

Stay tuned for more from the Klimstra House!
