New toy!

There's been a lot of out of town travel and days/nights away from home for Mommy lately so this weekend we are laying low and enjoying what's left of our Indian Summer.  Today - after some discussion - we purchased an exciting new toy!

A bike stroller!
(at least that's what Natalie calls it)

When we got to the bike shop she was pretty unsure of the whole situation but by the time we got home with the bike stroller it was all she wanted to do.

Daddy taking it slow to start

"How's it going back there?!"
Again!
Every time Jon would stop to talk to me about it or check on Natalie she would just say "Again!  Again! Bike Stroller, Go!"  She absolutely loved it.  We can't wait to take her out on the trails by the house.  We're planning a ride to the Farmer's Market tomorrow.

Mommy's turn

It was lunch time before we got back from our rides around the neighborhood but Natalie definitely wasn't ready to leave her new toy.  This is a picture of the drama that ensued when we tried to take her out.  She cried and ran back trying to jump in.  I think we'll be spending a lot of time in the bike stroller from now on. :)

Not ready to go inside yet.

I don't know what else is on the camera...

And it doesn't matter because I *have* to tell you about what Natalie and I did today!

So excited!

We ran the Richmond Color Run with my good friend Maureen!

New clothes were purchased, hotels were booked, and at 9:30 this morning we were ready.

Maureen and Natalie, Pre-Run.
This picture of Natalie CRACKS ME UP!

Natalie was very excited to start the "race"

She was cool with the headband at the start

Hi Mommy, let me take some pictures now...
The "race" was a 5K that we walked - albeit quickly - and got as much "color" as we could along the way.  Natalie loved the entire experience and kept saying "More color!  More color!"

After the race was the *real* fun with the color packets

Just LOOK AT THOSE CHEEKS!

Mommy and Natalie post race but pre color explosion

There was LOTS of fun music and LOTS of dancing!

More dancing and more color

A close up.  :)

Jack didn't walk but got in on the color at the finish

We had SUCH a great time!

By the end she looked like Hulk's love child...
We had a great time and we will definitely be on the look out for this race next year!  Natalie loved it so much when she woke up from her nap the first words out of her mouth were "Color, more color Mommy!"  So sweet.

Who needs a reason for pictures?

If we needed one - Football season and a cute, heirloom dress are two good ones!

While we were in NC in August Mamaw found a dress of mine that I had worn when I was about Natalie's age - so we decided we needed to have some pictures of Natalie in it too.  So off to Picture People we went - and they did a GREAT job getting some cute pics of Natalie in the hand-me-down dress.  I love it!

Flowers? For Me???

The kinda smell funny...
Here ya go, Mommy!

Such a pretty girl!

I love this close up.

With her new friend.  He got lots of hugs

Then - as a surprise for Daddy we had a quick wardrobe change and new hair style for the next round of pictures.

Yay! for the Wolfpack!
She loves the Red and White

It was an owl - that she kept calling a chicken :)

This one is for Daddy.  He LOVED it.

Over the river and through the woods...

To Grandma and Grandpa's House we went!

Leslie, Katherine, Natalie and I got to spend a Sunday Afternoon with Grandma, Grandpa and a surprise visit from Graham Thomas and family!  What a treat!  Here are some pictures of the day - they all had a great time.
