Christmas, Part 1

Our drive to NC was 'difficult'.  Since there really are no words to adequately describe the hours of ear piercing, heart wrenching screaming from the youngest two of our three children, I will leave it at 'difficult'.  Poor Natalie spent more than two hours with her hands over her ears and at one point shouted (the only way she was going to be heard) "We're almost there, Rylie!  Its okay!!"  Unfortunately we still has three hours to go at that point.  Ahh, family vacations.

However, after some much needed down time in Winston-Salem for a day, we rallied and made our way to Hendersonville to celebrate with Nana, Pops and Auntie Erin.

Christmas Morning!!

Since she worked so hard baking cookies, she agreed to share them, and some of HER milk, with Santa.

Christmas morning after she discovered the book bag full of treasures that Santa left for her we moved on to opening stockings and presents from the family. Jon Jr. and Rylie were also very happy to be in the middle of the action.

Checking out all the treasures!

The back of the "back pack".

Yes, Junior is naked.  He prefers it that way.
And they love/hate these toys.  Its hard to explain but every time they play with them there is always a lot of yelling.  Strange, I know.

Covered up in presents!

We had a wonderful time and are so thankful for our family.  We did a lot of cooking, playing, eating (LORD, DID WE EAT!) and enjoying these three little people that make this time of year especially fun.
