Mamaw Wanda, Papaw Tom, Leslie, Josh, Garrett and Katherine made the long drive out to the Outer Banks to celebrate Natalie's birthday with us. Since they are now accustomed to long drives on NYE (last year they drove half way and turned around only to make it the entire way to Maryland on January 1st to meet sweet Nattie).
The day started with
CAKE for BREAKFAST! (After her applesauce and yogurt, of course).

As if the morning couldn't get any better - then we ventured out to the beach and the fun continued.

And then after a GOOD afternoon nap the partying began. We had a LadyBug themed party and fun was had by all.

Happy 1st Birthday, indeed! SO glad that we were there to share it with her! The cake was awesome - in shape/decoration and taste! Mamaw Schenk would have been so proud :)
