I haven't done a developmental post in quite a while and thanks to my delinquency I don't know that there is any way I can cover all the things Natalie is doing now!
Talking: This child can say/sing/explain/question ANYTHING. She expresses herself in a myriad of ways - some more like a two-year-old than others ;). We don't have any trouble understanding her and typically we carry on conversations as if she is a peer. My favorite hobby is to listen to her retell her day at baby-school. Who did what, when, how much, who ate what, treats, songs, everything. She is a constant blur of words the entire 10 or so minute drive home. Mamaw Wanda usually calls in and ends up just listening to the conversation in the Pilot. Its a treat.
Eating: Her favorite food at the moment is "Tigger chips". That is her name for Cheetos. Clever really - for someone who has NO IDEA who Chester Cheetah is, he does resemble the Tigger from her Winnie the Pooh book. We enjoy these in moderation, but they are definitely a favorite. She also loves sandwiches (all kinds), any kind of fruit, milk (a recent development, I think, thanks to Katherine Grab) and popcicles and ice cream - although she typically hands them to me after about the second bite and asks me to "warm it up". So typically she ends up drinking them instead of really eating them.
Individuality: She is starting to show more and more her preferences for things. This is certainly a typical developmental step for a 2 year old, but its been interesting to watch. She prefers to pick her clothes,
especially her shoes and occasionally how we fix her hair (which as an aside STILL has not ever been cut!). She wants her fingernails and toenails painted and to wear sunglasses like Mommy too. Here are some pictures to show her recent choices.

She LOVES to wear dresses

A twirl to show me how her dress works :)

So cool at the pool

And sometimes, when you can't decide, you paint your toes two different colors.

But above all else she is TOO YOUNG to be giving me this look...
Potty Training: We've tentatively started potty training with initially very little interest from Natalie. I think this will move quickly once she gets the hang of it but for right now she seems too busy to be bothered with going to the bathroom to potty. We are in no rush, so when she's ready, we will be too.
