Potty Talk... kindof

Tonight - just before I leave on a week long business trip to Las Vegas Natalie decided to pass yet another milestone.  Guess who pooped on the potty tonight!?!

This Girl!

No - we are not potty training yet - this was more to save Mommy from having to bleach the tub since she was mid-bath when she needed to "go"- but she was TOTALLY OKAY with sitting on the potty and proclaiming "Poop!" once she was done.  

Nana was on hand to see this feat and we all cheered for Natalie's big accomplishment. 

I promise I'll keep the potty talk to a minimum on the blog from now on but this was such a funny feat for 17 months that I had to share!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is a very special day in our house.  Today is Daddy's birthday.  So we're planning to play hookie from school and work a little early - hit the pool then out to dinner at the Mexican restaurant (a Klimstra tradition).

We'll spend the weekend celebrating Jon and enjoying every minute.

Summer is here - Officially - and it is HOT!

We're doing what we can to spend lots of time outside and stay cool.  Here is what Natalie has been up to this month.

From the beach to the Mountains

Next in Natalie's tour of the East Coast we went up to visit Nana, Pops and Auntie Erin.  Daddy was finally home and we were throwing a party for Uncle Ryan.  The whole gang was in town!

Nana and especially Auntie Erin did a great job with the decorations and Natalie enjoyed them immensely.

It got pretty hot that weekend and a pony tail become a necessity to keep our little girl cool.

 Natalie has also developed a LOVE of chairs her size.  This one Nana picked up just for Natalie and she LOVED it.  She carried it everywhere.

We had a wonderful time celebrating Uncle Ryan.  He's on a great adventure to Alaska and we wish him well.

Next - Natalie takes Tampa!

 The next stop on Natalie's trip down the East Coast we traveled to Tampa, FL.  I had lots of work to do and Mamaw and Papaw were gracious enough to agree to come with so we could bring Natalie and spend some quality time in Florida.  

Our first stop was Italian for dinner - As you can see, Natalie loved it!

She's a happy girl!

She's getting very good at using a spoon.

 The next day I went coast to coast (in Florida) for meetings so Mamaw and Papaw went adventuring around Tampa.  From the pictures it looks like they had a GREAT time!

 And this has to be one of my favorite pictures of Natalie - EVER.  I'm having it enlarged to put in my office.  It makes me smile every time I see it.  I'm so glad they caught it on camera.
