For those who don't know, Natalie started a new "baby school". She's going to a slightly larger daycare with access to outside play and older kids. We are pleased with the new place and excited for the new friends and new adventures she will have.
The transition has been rough - due to absences for illness and travel but we all feel that she is in the right place for her development and growth.
Well, as we are learning, being a toddler (and having my sense of balance and grace) can be treacherous. We got a call from the daycare late on Friday, March 8th that Natalie had a little fall and knocked one of her front teeth loose. They asked that we come get her right away and take her to a dentist to have it checked out.
Being the tough little girl she is, she was more shaken than injured but her front tooth was badly displaced. We (luckily) found a dentist that had Friday evening hours and went straight over. Daddy met us there but while Natalie was playing in the waiting room she PULLED OUT HER (very loose) TOOTH! She handed it to me and said "Its Yucky. Throw it in the trash!". Well there isn't much they could do with a missing tooth so they checked her out well with x-rays and follow up visits and recommended we get used to the snaggle-toothed smiles.
Here is our sweet girl and her new smile...
She's no worse for the wear and OF COURSE it doesn't effect her ability to eat (nothing ever has!).
Just one of many "adventures" I am sure we will have as we raise this busy, beautiful little girl.
A reminder and an excuse for an adorable photo!!
